Pinto Warmblood Gelding

Hello, my friends! Meet Kedr (Cedar), a gentle gelding sculpted by Mr. ANki, 3D printed and cast in resin in paddock scale, then customized and painted by me, Anastasia Chernykh, with great care and attention to detail.

The model was originally sculpted as a Budyonny horse, but for this copy I chose a pinto warmblood as inspiration and reference. I did quite a bit of customization work, refining the body and legs, adding details such as veins and wrinkles, resculpting the mane and tail, and correcting the hooves.
I painted Kedr as a bright high-contrast bay tobiano with soft dapples and a delicate shine added to the base coat. The pinto markings are painted with detailed hairy edges for a more natural look. He also has multicolored hooves, a richly shaded mane and tail, and heterochromic eyes that give him even more personality and charm. I tried to emphasize all the beautiful details of the sculpture, carefully highlighting the muscles, veins, wrinkles and subtle coat textures to make the model feel more alive and realistic.

In my work I used acrylics, pastels and metallic pigments. The model is sealed with several layers of satin and matte varnish. Hooves are finished in satin, while the eyes and nostrils are glossed for a realistic look.
The model comes to his new home with my studio certificate and a tiny ribbon halter.
