Colorful pinto pony in Traditional Scale by Studio Thornrose
This lovely pony mare was inspired by the ponies of Chincoteague. Many Chincoteague ponies grow larger and sleeker when pampered - and when crossed with outside breeds they can create successful show horses! This gal is colored like many of the island’s ponies, in a rich red chestnut with soft flaxen mane and tail. I would personally show her as some sort of Chincoteague pony cross. I’ve added lots of creamy shading to her feathers and white areas that doesn’t show up in photos, but hopefully you can see her live and in person at the Artisan’s Gallery!
Bidding starts at only $1500 and NO RESERVE
Her auction ends about the same time as the Artisan’s Gallery ends on Friday, so you will have many hours on Friday night to view her in person, before bidding. Not attending Breyerfest? Please check out the videos of her on my Instagram page @ studio_sommer
The videos and photos can’t really capture the details of in person, but if you bid and win, but are not attending Breyerfest in person, I will ship her to you, possibly directly from Lexington (if I have the supplies to do so) or I will return to Arizona and ship her to you about a week later..
There is a 10% “cash and carry” discount off the total final bid, if you can pay cash in Kentucky, and walk off with her at the event.
TRADES? The only trade that will be accepted is for another unpainted Traditional “Klara Bow” or “Lucy Bow” pony resin. If you already purchased this resin previously, and have one on hand, I will credit the original issue price of $450 for your blank towards this painted copy. The blank can also be used as the down payment, if approved for Time Pays, with the balance due on the paint work starting 30 days after auction close.
Time Pays: Payment in full is preferred. Time pays are available, but ONLY if you have all “green lights” and no “red lights” on any hobby boards. A non refundable deposit of $500 is required and payments would need to be totally completed by Dec 31, 2026. If payment is not completed by that date, model and all payments are forfeit and the resin will go up for auction again. There are no refunds on time payments; please do not bid if you are unsure you can pay off the resin in that time frame. Payment by PayPal Goods & Services is also available, which may be able to offer financing.
Item may be picked up by buyer in-person in Lexington, KY on Saturday night before the close of the Artisan's Gallery.
If buyer is bidding from home, and not at Breyerfest, resin will be sent fully insured via USPS at the earliest possible date after the event, or shipped after payment in full, if there is a time payment arrangement. Sorry, no International shipping available at this time on OOAK items above $500 value, due to Insurance / Liability / Tarriff issues. Canada may be an exception, to an approved buyer; please check in before bidding to verify.
