Golden Pony Boy with Two Blue eyes
This adorable pony is the Traditional scale version of Maggie Bennett’s pony, “Merry”.I love this sculpture, he’s so much fun to paint! I’ve painted him one of my favorite colors, golden dappled buckskin with creamy highlights and toasty shading.
He is 1:9 in scale, which means he stands a bit under 7” at the ear tips. Very few copies of this resin have been released in this scale, so far, so he’s still a unique standout in the show ring! He features delicate cream shading in his markings and subtle brown highlights in his brown mane that photographs can’t seem to capture.
Bidding starts at only $1500 and NO RESERVE
His auction ends about the same time as the Artisan’s Gallery ends on Friday, so you will have many hours on Friday night to view him in person, before bidding. Not attending Breyerfest? Please check out the videos of him on my Instagram page @ studio_sommer
The videos and photos can’t really capture the details of him in person, but if you bid and win, but are not attending Breyerfest in person, I will ship him to you, possibly directly from Lexington (if I have the supplies to do so) or I will return to Arizona and ship him to you about a week later.
There is a 10% “cash and carry” discount off the total final bid, if you can pay cash in Kentucky, and walk off with him at the event.
TRADES? The only trade I will consider is for another “Merry” Traditional pony body. If you have already purchased this resin from Maggie, but don’t have yours painted yet, I will credit you the full $375 issue price. The body can also work in exchange as a down payment.
Time Pays: Payment in full is preferred. Time pays are available, but ONLY if you have all “green lights” and no “red lights” on any hobby boards. A non refundable deposit of $500 is required and payments would need to be totally completed by Dec 31, 2026. If payment is not completed by that date, model and all payments are forfeit and the resin will go up for auction again. There are no refunds on time payments; please do not bid if you are unsure you can pay off the resin in that time frame. Payment by PayPal Goods & Services is also available, which may be able to offer longer term financing.
Items paid cash in full may be picked up by buyer in-person in Lexington, KY on Saturday night before the close of the Artisan's Gallery. If buyer is bidding from home, and not at Breyerfest, resin will be sent fully insured via USPS at the earliest possible date after the event, or shipped after payment in full, if there is a time payment arrangement. Sorry, no International shipping available at this time on OOAK items above $500 value, due to Insurance / Liability / Tarriff issues. Exceptions to International shipping may be made for shipping to Canada, for approved buyers with verified feedback, as I have thankfully had success shipping there recently. Please check before bidding.
