Breyer’s Wild Animal Web Specials are inspired by the wonderful variety of colors and patterns found throughout the animal kingdom. Baruti, 2021’s addition to the series, is based on one of Africa’s most eye-catching antelopes, the Gemsbok. Native to the arid and semi-arid regions of Southern Africa, Gemsboks are sometimes referred to as the “Thoroughbred of the desert” – which is fitting, as Baruti is created on a Thoroughbred sculpture himself! This model was produced as a limited edition of 300 pieces, sold via lottery.
