Deep in the desert, two cowboys ride through the shrubbery, the canyons towering behind them. The scene stretches out for miles, and they find themselves turned around as nightfall approaches. Inspired by the moonlight and isolating atmosphere, they tell ghost stories as they ride on, hoping to find a landmark that will guide them home. One such legend tells the story of a herd of otherworldly steeds. Their eyes pierce through the darkness, and draw curious cowboys in. It is said that the lead stallion is viciously protective, and will do anything to protect his undead herd. As he embodies the essence of a fierce bandit, the cowboys that pass on the legend have deemed him “Outlaw.” Often assuming that the horses are nothing supernatural due to the darkness, many cowboys have tried to capture Outlaw and his herd. But they are no match for him. With his torn skin, skeletal face, and bared teeth, he sure puts up a fight. He lunges forward, attacking the cowboys in any way possible. Desperate to tame the ghoulish steed, they attempt to rope and shoot at him, but to no avail. The stallion is far too strong.
Soon, the two lost cowboys approach a herd of glowing eyes. Spooked out by their talks of ghosts, they nervously jest as they curiously ride towards what they see, not believing that the legend could be true. Their horses toss their heads up in the air nervously, and snort and whinny in fear. Suddenly, they hear the thunder of hooves, and a piercing neigh as they are met with a full charge by the very spectral stallion of the legend. Faced with no other option, they attempt to fight off the ghoul.
Not much time passes before Outlaw triumphantly gallops and prances, a cowboy hat in his mouth. He tosses it up in the air as his herd watches, the bullet holes scattered across his body not seeming to slow him down.
So, be wary of wandering the desert at night. Make sure to stay on your path, or you might just end up lost and face to face with Outlaw.
“Outlaw” has been sealed in several layers of matte finish to keep him durable for years to come. He features a haunted house and a graveyard scene and is packed with teensy tiny details!! No major flaws that I can spot! My work has done very well at live shows, but I cannot guarantee LSQ.
