Description

The waters are calm on the loch, and all is quiet besides the silent murmurs of nature during nightfall. However, beneath the waters and into the depths swims the Kelpie, a mythical water-spirit waiting for its next victim. The mane and tail of the Kelpie flow with the current as he moves, just like the plantlife that surrounds him. To get a better view of his surroundings, the creature swims to the surface of the Scottish waters. Taking the form of a majestic stallion with a coat of ebony, he stands there, his white eyes piercing through the night. He appears calm, quiet, and otherwise docile. However, beware, as this supernatural being has the ability to shape shift, and will morph into a human if that is what it takes to lure in a lost soul. He lies in wait, waiting for someone to be drawn in by his beauty. Be careful, for once he has you, he moves quickly and before you know it, you are dragged to the depths. Your only hope is that you may tame him by fitting a bridle on him. Would you be able to tame this malevolent spirit?

"Kelpie" was painted in acrylics and sealed with several layers of matte varnish to keep him durable for years to come! He is packed with detail, and is complete with pale white/grey eyes that have some iridescence to them! No major flaws that I can spot. My work has done very well at live shows, but I cannot guarantee LSQ.
