In 2020, volunteers for BreyerFest: Celtic Fling received Ben Nevis, a lovely pinto on Flash (mold #594) that was split between two base colors: flaxen liver chestnut and bright chestnut. This sample model was created for the flaxen liver chestnut colorway.
This model does have some flaws owing to its nature as a sample model that was used in the production process. Imperfections from handling are present – namely shiny marks concentrated on the hip areas. Please study the item photos carefully to decide if this model would be the right fit for your collection.
What is a “sample model?” This model is a “sample,” which is an important part of Breyer's production process. This model was one of the first of its kind off of our factory’s production line, and was used by the Breyer Product Development Team as a final check before full-scale production of this model began.
