 Her first show, Candyland Live in Denver CO Nov. 2 she won the chestnuts medallion class, then went on to win Overall Reserve Grand Champion Medallion! Her NAN card will be included. 

Emerging from the darkness, all snapping teeth and wild eyed lunacy is this brilliant medallion “Wraith” sculpted by Melanie Miller. Measuring about 5” across, her substantial size offers you an up close and very personal look at her somewhat intimidating details. Let’s take a look at the dark side shall we? 

“Dark Side’s” background is the moon. To compliment her liver chestnut coat the moon is an airbrushed mix of light turquoise and ivory, dusted over with colorshift blue/green Pearlex to give it a subtle reflective quality. Then it’s all misted with dioxaxine purple for an ethereal effect. 

Her finish work started with a base of metallic copper. Over that are layers of the highest quality professional oils in all the seasonal colors including raw and burnt sienna, terra rosa (should be called terror rosa in this case), burnt umber, (hmmm lots of burnt things here, starting to see an uncomfortable pattern…????) and her darks were created by misting a mix of lamp black and dioxaxine  purple. 

That snaky Medusa mane really gives her movement, doesn’t it feel like she’s just lunging at you? More of the coppery base color shows through here, it’s metallic qualities give her mane even more life! Detailed to show varying strands of all her body colors and just a touch of blonde. 

And what about that amazing gator mouth full of teeth? Dare we go there? Slightly stained and yellowed and judging by those cups in the bottom teeth… HEY! Who’s looking at age when those teeth are coming to rip your head off! And to add to the terror, was she getting a drink when you dared approach, or is that rabid saliva flying out of her mouth???
