Grass Display Base, Oval 3x5
This is a Display or Photo Show grass base for model horses or other animals. The base is 3x5 inch oval and the grass-covered area is roughly 2.25x4.25 inches. It is a good fit for most 1:32 scale models (Breyer Stablemate) and smaller.

Description

The wooden base is sanded, painted black and green, finished in a slightly glossy matte sealer, and then covered with model train grass.The grass is attached in multiple layers with a mixture of water and Elmer’s wood glue. The base has been through several tap and wind tests to make sure it’s pretty sturdy.
An additional bag of grass is included in case the base is ever damaged. The grass can be attached with a mixture of water and Elmer’s glue.

This base is NOT compatible with any of my model fencing templates and has no post holes. While it's possible to put a Template A on these, the fence will really cramp the models.
The base will ship in a handmade cardstock box that can be used for storage. The box has two flaps that can be curled to hold the base securely and release with pull tabs.
Materials used: Artminds Wooden plaque, Green and Black acrylic craft paints, Krylon matte sealer, wood glue, train grass mix (Woodland Scenics, T45 Fine Turf Green Grass and, T46 Fine Turf Weeds).
